Partial List of Suggested Budgetary Items to consider when building a home.* (our "wood framing" kit only refers to Item 3.)

1  Site Work   Site preparation for crawlspace; 4' deep trench excavation for foundation wall  
2  Foundation   Continuous reinforced concrete footing 8" deep x 18" wide; damp proofed and insulated reinforced concrete foundation wall, 8" thick, 3" deep concrete slab in crawl space  
3  Framing   Exterior walls - 2" x 6" wood studs, 16" o/c; 1/2" plywood sheathing; 2" x 10" rafters 16" o/c with 5/8" sheathing, 2" x 8" ceiling joists 16" o/c; 3/4" plywood sub floor on 2" x 10" floor joist 16" o/c  
4  Exterior Walls   Horizontal beveled wood siding; building paper; 6" batt insulation; wood with vinyl clad double hung windows;  1 garage door;  3 sliding glass doors; 1 solid core wood exterior door with sidelights;  storms and screens  
5  Roofing   30 years asphalt shingles;  #15 felt building paper;  aluminum gutters, downspouts and drip edge; copper flashing  
6  Interiors   Walls and ceilings - 5/8" gypsum wallboard, Skim coat plaster, painted with primer and 2 coats; hardwood baseboard and trim, sanded and finished; hardwood floor 70%, ceramic tile with underlayment 20%, vinyl tile with underlayment 10%; wood panel interior doors, primed and painted with 2 coats.  
7  Specialties   Custom grade kitchen cabinets - wall and base with solid surface counter top and kitchen sink; 6 LF bathroom vanity; 75 gallon gas water heater, medicine cabinet  
8 Mechanical   Gas fired warm air heat/air-conditioning; one full bath inclining: bathtub, corner shower, built in lavatory and water closet; one 1/2 bath including: built in lavatory and water closet.  
9 Electrical   200 Amp. service; romex wiring; fluorescent and incandescent lighting fixtures, switches, receptacles.
